This is a swarm of honey bees traveling to a new location. If you see one of these please leave them alone, give them lots of room, and do not spray the colony with insecticide. Please contact groups such as the Blackwater Beekeepers who can relocate the colony to help support pollination or, if the colony is not settled and is just staging, it might be a good idea to possibly leave the hive alone so it can find a new natural location on its own. It’s good to seek advice from an expert when dealing with honey bees. Stay “Forever Wild!”

Playcard is open to multiple levels of school in addition to public, including all grade levels of private and homeschool groups as well as college on a first come first served volunteer basis on our registration calendar of events. We have also hosted elder communities, church groups, scout groups, community groups, outreaches, and many other open house public events. All levels of the community are welcome here. Natural literacy is the ability to “read nature” to understand what living things are around you and the value of conservation of those living things. We teach natural literacy, teamwork, leadership, and community service every day. People need ever greater connection to nature and to understand our role as stewards of the earth and protectors and keepers of the land and animals.
