Kids Cafe was established because, after completing high school as the #1 football player, one of Bethel Zion's youth did not have the academics to attend college to further his education. He focused more on sports rather than his academics. We at Bethel Zion knew right then that it was our responsibility (the church) to oversee our youth's academic performances throughout the school year. This vi

sion came from God through the pastors, Lester & Phyllis Spain. We do not blame the parents or the school but we've seen that we can make a difference with the help of others. At this present time we are in partnership with the local schools to be on point with our curriculum and life skills, for this program. This program has become a vital part of the community and the surrounding areas. Being in a rural section of Horry County, where the children are stricken with a lot of poverty issues, and crime, this program has brought joy and education to the children and their families.

We really enjoyed our trip to Lee's Blueberry Farm today. The staff was amazing!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

My babies had a ball picking blueberries 🫐 They were even able to eat blueberries as they picked them. They were blessed with FREE blueberry and vanilla ice-cream today 😋😋😋

Shout out to my Amazing staff for always being on point‼️💛 Some couldn't attend this trip but hopefully they will catch the others we have planned.

As the Director of Empowerment Kids Cafe, I want to take a moment to personally thank my incredible staff during Teacher Appreciation Week.

The love, patience, dedication, and hard work you pour into our children each day does not go unnoticed. Being an educator is more than a job—it’s a calling, and each of you plays a special role in helping our children learn, grow, and feel loved in a safe environment.

Thank you for showing up, pushing through the hard days, and continuing to make a difference in the lives of our children and families. I am grateful for each of you and proud of the team we continue to build together.
