Shepherd’s Heart of Lorena is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Lorena, TX and is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that provides food to families, children, elderly, and handicapped in need in our community and the surrounding area. We are 100 percent donor funded by individuals, churches, corporations, and organizations who desire to help us end hunger. Each donation is tax deductable, We a

re a member of the Capital Area Food Bank which allows us to buy food in bulk at deeply discounted prices. Our pantry is open twice per month to anyone in need of food assistance. We let our clients shop and select the food their families will eat. Each family receives several meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, canned goods, bread, eggs, milk, juice, cereal, and peanut butter. In addition, we offer paper products and toiletries!

Lorena Shepherd’s Heart still has the trailer available for any items you are looking to get rid of. The trailer will be gone tomorrow. We still have about 1/6 of the trailer available for goods.

The food pantry has an 18 wheeler trailer that we are trying to pack with useable items you no longer want. Please feel free to drop items off in the trailer during daylight hours! This is a fundraiser for us! Thanks!

Friends, we are still in need of some men’s size socks (white socks are fine) and men’s size underwear. This is to meet a specific need we were made aware of for some kids!

Anyone know a good plumber that will come to the food pantry to do a backflow prevention assembly test and not charge an arm and leg?

The food pantry will be closed on January 1. Next food pantry will be on Thursday, Jan. 15th. If you need food before then please seek assistance from another pantry in Waco.
