22 of our Optimist Club members along with 8 Torch members of the Boys and Girls Club were proud to take part in the statewide “Love the Boot” litter pickup yesterday April 19th.

In partnership with Lt. Billy Nungesser’s office, we joined volunteers across Louisiana to help keep our communities clean and beautiful this week. 💙

It was a great day of teamwork, service, and making a difference right here at home.

A great time was had today at the Louisiana District Optimist Awards Banquet in Pineville, La. 💙

It was a wonderful luncheon of good food, and great company.
After the meal club members who have dedicated over 25 years of service were recognized………..truly inspiring!

Our own club member Govenor Anesha Burgess honored these members present:

-Marty Lejeune joined in 1989
-David Reed joined in 1988
-Dave Feldman joined in 1978
-Ray Escuriex joined in 1958

Our oldest living club member Mr. Ray even gave some “Words of Wisdom” to the crowd.

We are all so proud of them and thank them for their willingness for so many year’s to be part of an organization that gives back and supports our youth! ✨
