We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Ken Deluca this past Saturday, a loss felt profoundly across Lorain County’s behavioral health community.
Dr. Deluca’s life reflects a legacy of leadership, advocacy, and enduring service. As Chairperson of the Lorain County Board of Mental Health in the early 1990s, he helped guide the system through pivotal transformation and played a key role in the groundbreaking of an expansion project that mirrored the vision of today’s Lorain County Crisis Recovery Center—an effort that helped shape the agency that would ultimately become Riveon Mental Health and Recovery.
His decades of professional practice, early support for community mental health, and unwavering commitment as a steadfast member of Riveon’s Board of Directors strengthened the very foundation of behavioral health services in Lorain County. Dr. Deluca’s imprint on our community will continue to guide and inspire mental health advocacy for generations.
