The Stephen J Ross Volunteer Hub was busy yesterday with the Avient Corporation Leadership Development Program participants, who showed up ready to shine! The group packed self care bags, family essential kits, packaged period products and sorted diapers for the emergency diaper bank.

United Way of Greater Lorain County is grateful for our continued partnership with Avient and is inspired by the young leaders they've chosen to continue the work of community transformation!

Some say, "It takes a village!"
We say, "United is the Way!"

However you choose to say it, the residents of Greater Lorain County are a great example! With the help of over 45 collection sites and 32 volunteers, more than 22,500 school supplies were collected, sorted, inventoried, and packed inside 124 full-to-the- brim boxes before being delivered to elementary schools county wide.

We want to say thank you to each one who purchased, collected, sorted, packed, planned, or delivered. The collective impact is inspiring! Together, we can ensure that students have what they need to start strong this school year!

This year's Collect Sort Deliver: School Supplies has been a resounding success thanks to our partners and collection sites throughout Greater Lorain County!

Pictured here are just a few of the participating locations: BASF, City of Elyria, Gen Fed Credit Union, and Valley Chevrolet.

Later this week, more volunteers will join us to sort and inventory all the supplies before they get delivered to our hard-working Lorain County school districts!
