If you want to feel inspired today, let me tell you about the two young men who knocked on our door last week and then again today. They didn't just ask to cut our grass; they went door-to-door for four blocks and now have five regular homes for the summer.
What really got me was their setup. They don't have a truck or fancy trailers yet—they’re using a little red wagon to haul away every bag of clippings so nothing stays on the lawn. They are working this hard because they have a goal: to earn enough for their own professional gear. Before people talk down on a generation, they need to see this kind of grit. Bring a Bag: Don't forget your favorite holiday bag or reusable container to collect your cookies from our 30+ stops!
Use the Shuttle: Park safely and hop on the FREE Broadway Shuttle for easy access to every stop.
Check the Map: Finalize your route to ensure you catch Santa and the Grinch!

Slow Roll coming to Lorain! Join in on the fun!

We are officially set for our first ride!

Make sure you mark you calendars for Tuesday the 23rd!

We will meet down at Black River Landing in Lorain, Oh

Meet at 6:30pm and will ride out at 7:00pm

We will host our official first slow roll next Tuesday. The ride will begin at 7:00pm. Whether you have a bike, scooter, skates, skateboard etc. we want to see you out there! Again, this is a slow pace ride for all to enjoy. We want to also make sure we’re all safe so we will have individuals leading this ride to ensure everyone’s safety. Below is a picture of the parking for you to park your vehicles in. If you need air or any adjustments to your bike please show up a little earlier so we can make sure you’re taken care of. We will have tire pumps for those that may need them. Also, we encourage lights on your bike as it does get dark a little earlier now. Thank you all again for your continued patience and support and we can’t wait to see you all next Tuesday!

Thank you to everyone who helped make August 9th, the best Saturday yet! We are so in love with this video and thankful to have community members like yourselves a part of our special day!

From neighbors and nonprofits to city crews and small businesses—everyone rolled up their sleeves to re imagine our city’s future. 🚧👷🏿👷‍♀️

Our mission was to show the world that this Midwest town is a place of innovation and positive change. The Lorain Better Block project was a powerful example of community-led placemaking, where temporary, low-cost interventions—like pop-up shops, street murals, and temporary bike lanes—demonstrate the potential of a neighborhood.

This year, we focused on the intersection of 13th and Broadway, transforming it from a car-centric area into a vibrant, walkable destination for everyone to enjoy.
Thank you again to everyone who came together to make this event, one for the books!
