On Wednesday, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the federal agency that provides funding for America’s libraries, announced it had reinstated all of the grants it had previously terminated, including those to libraries and library organizations across the U.S.

“Restoration of these grants is a massive win for libraries of all kinds in all states," said ALA President Sam Helmick. "Every public, school and academic library and their patrons benefit from the research findings and program outcomes from individual library and organization grantees.”

Stop by the Library Community Room on Saturday December 6, 10 am - 2 pm, for our Holiday Book Sale!

We'll have a wide variety of gently-used donated books for sale - cookbooks, kids books, fiction and nonfiction, and of course holiday-themed books.

We'll also have lots of Library merchandise for sale. From caps to coffee, bags to bandanas (for your doggy) - perfect for stocking stuffers!

Do a bit of holiday shopping, catch up with Friends of the Library and enjoy a homemade treat.

Thank you to everyone who voted for the Lopez Library levy! The early returns show the levy with a strong lead. Yes - 76.53%, No - 23.47%.

Many ballots remain to be counted. The county plans to release updated number on Wednesday at 5 pm.

Ballots MUST be POSTMARKED—meaning picked up by USPS not just in a mailbox, so make sure the mail hasn't been picked up for the day yet—or in a drop box by 8PM to be counted!

Meet Churchill our special elections helper! He wanted to let you know Monday, July 28th, is the last day to register to vote online or by mail for the August 5th Primary Election. If you haven't registered by this deadline – don’t shed it - you can still register in person until August 5th (Election Day)! Stop by the elections office at 55 2nd St N, Suite A, to complete your voter registration and say hello to Churchill!
