A big thank you to the Rotary Club of Winter Park Sunrise (formerly Orange County East) for inviting me back to give an update on our recent community impacts! During my introduction, president Shawn Vincent also presented a check of $1,500 on behalf of the club, continuing their faithful support for our programs. And if I had a say, I think hazelnut french toast should become the official breakfast of Rotary, wouldn't you agree? 😉

We can't do what we do without the support of our faithful volunteers! We are very thankful to have Blake, Gabriel, and Phoenix helping us to prepare and recondition some laptops which had just been recently donated to us by a local business.

Grateful for the opportunity to meet one-on-one with Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins during a recent visit to Central Florida! It was a pleasure to discuss the importance of technology access as it relates to quality of life and share how Christian Tech Center Ministries has been actively working to meet these needs, with over 4,000 free computers given away into our local community since we launched in 2022. We sincerely appreciate having relationships with our elected leaders who truly recognize the value in how we serve!

Yesterday I participated in the first of three all-day sessions of a special nonprofit leadership cohort hosted by the Edyth Bush Institute! Over the course of this program, I will be taking in additional knowledge on key focus areas including strategy, governance, and achieving results. This opportunity was provided through a partnership under the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation's new Collective Catalyst initiative. I always cherish valuable opportunities like this which allow me to grow professionally and become a more impactful leader!

It was a pleasure to welcome case manager Donald Moysey from SALT Outreach to pick up equipment for some of his clients receiving services under the Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program. The recipients of these Dell OptiPlex micro computers are all veterans who honorably served our country and in the process of transitioning out of homelessness and at-risk situations, and they will be using them to search for work or online training opportunities. These resources we are providing are especially important not just for their own self-sufficiency, but I was also apprised that two of these veteran clients are also raising children on the autism spectrum. We are grateful for the opportunity to do our part for these families in need!
