Workforce Development!!

Today, Governor Greg Abbott announced a series of workforce development directives based on recommendations from the Texas Jobs Council, including expanding apprenticeship opportunities, strengthening career and technical education pathways, increasing access to industry certifications, and creating faster pathways to licensure.

TAB is proud to have a seat at the table through CEO Scott Norman, who serves on the Texas Jobs Council and is helping ensure the residential construction industry's workforce needs are part of the conversation.

These are meaningful steps toward preparing more Texans for high-demand, high-paying careers while helping meet the workforce needs of our growing state.

THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support the 2026 Spring Parade of Homes over the last two weekends. We are incredibly grateful for the support shown to our builders, associate members and ETBA as a nonprofit organization working to strengthen and promote the building industry in East Texas.
