Parenting Resource Center, a non-profit organization, is a primary prevention program, that has offered parent education in our community for over 27 years. We strive to offer high quality programs that reflect the needs of the community and to offer support and encouragement to parents in their efforts to make positive changes in their families. Divorce Class - a 4 hour class for divorcing parents with children under the age of 18 years or families/caregivers who are placed in co-parenting situations. This class addresses the potential effects of divorce on children and the importance of effective co-parenting. Home Front - a four week series of classes for families who have been touched by family violence in which one or both of the parents/caregivers in the house are on probation for assault/family violence. We provide class participants with the tools they need to break the cycle of violence that is passed from one generation to the next. Family Matters - a four week series which offers general parenting tips including family systems, building self-esteem, communication styles, and effective discipline.
