HOW YOU CAN HELP THE VICTIMS AND FAMLIES
Through June 27 - the 842 Group locations will be running a community fundraiser to support families affected by the Nippon tragedy. Guests will have the option to round up their check, with contributions being directed to the Nippon Family Fundraiser.
842 Group will also match guest donations collected during the campaign up to $4,000. This is being done across our four locations: The Office 842, Triangle Tavern, Silver Star Sports Bar & Grill, and Maddalena’s Italian Café.
For anyone who would rather contribute directly, donations can also be made to the Nippon Family Fundraiser account held at Lower Columbia Longshoremen’s Federal Credit Union.

Wednesday June 17 - K&M Drive-In in Camas will be hosting a fundraiser on Wednesday, June 17 from 3:00pm - 7:45pm. 100% of proceeds of the raffle baskets will go directly to the Lower Columbia Longshoremen's Federal Credit Union fund that has been set up. Additionally, K&M Drive-In will be donating proceeds from that night to the fund.

Friday June 19 – Fei’s Carriage in Longview will be hosting “Songs of Hope: Longview Strong”, an acoustic benefit concert with all proceeds going to the families impacted by the Nippon tragedy. The show is Saturday evening, June 19th, with doors opening at 6pm and the show starting at 7pm. Tickets are $10 at the door, the show is 21 and up.

Friday June 19 - There is a pop-up basketball clinic in honor of Jared Ammons. Entry is $25, cash only, for the event for grades 3rd-8th. 100% of the proceeds benefit the Ammons Family. The clinic is from 5-6:30pm at the Game Winner Athletic Facility in Longview.

Saturday June 20 - Tim's Bar & Grill in Kelso is hosting a fundraising pool tournament supporting families affected by the Nippon Mill Disaster. The entry fee is $50; only 48 players can enter. 50% of entry fees will be donated and all donations will be matched by Shayne’s Diesel and Auto Repair. The Tournament starts at 9am.

Sunday June 28 - Big Smoke says that thanks to a generous donation from Costco, they are hosting another fundraiser for the families of the Nippon Dynawave Disaster. 100% of raffle tickets purchased for the Summertime BBQ Raffle Bonanza go to the Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Central Labor Council account at Lower Columbia Longshoremen's Federal Credit Union to be administered to the families. One winner will take home over $2,000 in prizes. The Drawing will be held at 4PM Sunday June 28th, at the Big Smoke BBQ, Brew, & Music Festival.

The Cowlitz/Wahkiakum Central Labor Council and Longview/Kelso Building Trades have set up an account at Lower Columbia Longshoreman’s Federal Credit Union for donations to victims’ families. All money raised will go to victim’s families.

Friday, June 19 - Several local area churches invite you to attend an evening of encouragement and support at Martin's Dock as people from across our region come together to stand with those affected by the Nippon tragedy. This faith-based event will include a community choir, local pastors and leaders, first responders, community representatives, uplifting worship, messages of hope, and a time for prayer.
The event is at Martin's Dock, Lake Sacajawea, Longview, WA at 6:30 PM

United Way of Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Counties will be assisting with Nippon donations that need to be made to a 501(c)(3) organization, as a 'pass through', to the Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Central Labor Council Nippon fund that has been set up. 100% of all donations will go directly to this fund, with no administrative fees taken by United Way of Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Counties. cowlitzunitedway.org/nippon-dynawave
