Voters have decided against both bond proposals by LISD.

Longview-area voters on Tuesday approved bond funding for a new downtown parking facility as well as a $55 million bond measure in Pine Tree ISD.

Is Longview ISD leaders telling you all the facts about 2023 Bond request for 360M? How many decades will it take LISD taxpayers, their child, and grandchildren to pay this massive requested bond amount?

Why isn't Longview ISD publicly sharing the estimated INTEREST AMOUNTS for the bonds they've proposed?

The public should always know what taxpayers' debt burden will be for decades to come. Also, LISD can't guarantee the tax rate for 25-30 years of the loan repayment because that's voted on annually by board members that change over time.

Guess how many thousands LISD paid Huckabee & Associates for 2022 Bond and 2023 Bond assessments?
Well over $300,000 for both, this year alone $66K.

Hundreds of thousands paid that would have fixed a ton of LISD maintenance issues!

LISD is promoting
2023-24 LISD Tax Rate $1.14
and .30 reduction over past five years.

Let's take a look if LISD has received less or more property tax dollars from local residents. This is public information at our Gregg County Tax Assessor Office.
