The Longmont United Hospital Foundation is dedicated exclusively to supporting healthcare services at Longmont United Hospital through philanthropy. One of the primary goals of the Foundation is to help ensure that Longmont United Hospital will have the best possible facilities and equipment to help you and your loved ones when medical care is needed. Your tax ded

uctible gifts help us achieve this important mission. Naming opportunities are available in many areas throughout the hospital including the emergency department which serves over 45,000 patients each year. Within the Emergency Department, CAT scan, Digital Radiology, and a laboratory reside which will speed the process of diagnosing your health concern. A two-suite cardiac catheterization lab is accessible for diagnosis and intervention 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Work from local artist, Brenda Klatt, is currently hanging on the walls of the LUH Art Walkway until July 10th! Brenda is a mixed media artist pairing photography with found objects like agate slices, feathers and more! Brenda says, “I grew up in the Conifer, CO area having these beautiful mountains as my playground. This gave me a love of nature and all that it has to offer, from the smallest, awe inspiring detail often missed by most, to the grandeur of an entire mountain range.”

Artist Greg Wyatt says, “As a Landscape Photographer, I’ve been capturing the beauty of landscapes for 30 years. From the mountains of Colorado to Caribbean beaches, I can’t imagine doing anything else. My photos are about bringing a sense of peace and healing- a bit of nature’s magic into everyday life.”

Pardon the construction! The LUH Foundation is working with Colorado Pond Pros to build out a new water fountain outside our main lobby in memory of a dedicated hospital employee.

New sculpture in the Day Surgery waiting room!
Thank you Alfonso and Saskia Ossorio for your generous gift to the LUH Foundation and the Longmont United Hospital! This piece is called “Triptych Head” made of bronze in 1981 by artist Elizabeth Strong Cuevas from the personal collection of Alfonso & Saskia. It’s now being admired and loved within this nook inside the hospital memorialized with a new plaque and stand!

April is Volunteer Month and last week we celebrated and honored the amazing volunteers we have here at Longmont United Hospital. LUH has over 100 active volunteers sharing 850 hours of their talent and time with us every month! You’ll find volunteers in 15 different departments including Day Surgery, Day Surgery Registration, Emergency Department, Gift Shop, Front Desk, Hand Arts, ICU desk, TAILS dog therapy, Pianists, Pain Clinic, Registration, Stroke Support, Volunteer Department Admin, Volunteer Board and Fundraisers-Foundation! Volunteering is a work of the Heart. Thank you all for all you do! Special thanks to Ann Huggins, Volunteer Coordinator, for putting on this event! The LUH Foundation was so happy to be a part and provide lunch!

The LUH Foundation has helped place two drop off locations for the A Woman's Work Diaper Drive within the Longmont United Hospital. One in Patient Registration and one within the medical office building Suite 400 inside the woman’s clinic waiting room.
If you can’t make it in- join them for a collection event on Saturday, May 9th (3-5pm) at Left Hand Brewing Company

“The mission of A Woman’s Work is to be a timely fund for local women, where we bridge the gap from need to financial stability. We help women in the communities served by the St. Vrain Valley School District and the neighboring town of Berthoud who need financial support.”

The newest rotating art installation at the Longmont United Hospital Art Walkway has been installed over the weekend! Hosting nine new local artists to the walls including painting, photography, fiber art, alcohol ink, preserved moss, jewelry, and mixed media. Come by sometime to see the new work! A small portion of all art sales goes towards supporting and benefiting the needs of the hospital. This show will be up until early July!
