“I am changing for the better while giving back to those who I hurt.” –11th grade student referred for assault

Changing lives comes in many forms. LCJP’s Restorative Practices in Schools Project is being recognized for activating empathy in referred students and student team members. As one of the finalists in the Activating Empathy competition through the Ashoka Foundation, we have the opportunity to support these youth as leaders, students who take their responsibility to repair harm seriously, and teens who develop deep empathy and understanding for others.

After careful deliberation, 15 top finalists have been chosen from 628 entries as innovative models with strong potential to scale. We are proud to announce that LCJP’s Restorative Practices in Schools Project has been selected as one of 15 finalists in a worldwide Activating Empathy competition through the Ashoka Foundation that had more than 600 entries from 74 countries!
