AOH has never been just about the land… it is about the living beings who find themselves on it.

The ones who came in unsure and found they belonged.

As we know, a place can hold you for a season…

But a COMMUNITY holds you for life 🤍

And this sweet soul here… is the definition of community.

She carries that kind of sacrificial love that is rare and doesn’t wait to be asked. The kind of love that senses, notices… and shows up.

All throughout the week, quietly, faithfully… meeting needs before anyone even knew they were there.

In this season, this beautiful soul has been one of our greatest supports.

And even though she’s not on social media and does absolutely everything without the need for any recognition- we want to honor her (with her permission to share this photo, of course).

We just wanted to say… we see you. We see every ‘little and big thing’ from stocking grain, to ordering supplements to cleaning grain dishes, order new nippers, water troughs, picking up multiple shifts a week and coming between shifts to see what is needed… every bit has immense impact that goes beyond words. And we are SO SO grateful for you.

THANK YOU for being part of what makes Acres of Hope the family it is 🤍

Wishing our dear Angelina a Happy Birthday! 🎉

I know these days are hard, the first one without your Momma especially, but one thing I know - she is so proud of the beautiful young woman you are.

You have been such a gift to AOH, from the girls group to your many volunteer shifts. We knew you were something special when Boaz chose you from day one! He saw the goodness that you are and was instantly drawn to you. Which as you know now, is very rare for him.

Thank you for being who you are, sweet girl. And remember, keep pursuing those dreams and passions in your heart. 💜

Shannon has been such a wonderful addition to our Acres of Hope family. Beyond volunteer coordinator and admin, she wears more “hats” than we can count. We’re so grateful for her gift of creating systems and flow, and for the countless hours she pours into making an impact.

“Volunteering at Acres of Hope Ranch alongside my husband has been deeply rewarding. Whether we’re feeding animals, cleaning, helping with projects, or supporting the behind-the-scenes work, there’s something special about knowing that the small things we do contribute to a much bigger mission. What we never expected was how much we would grow together through the experience, or how simply being present with the animals and the work would teach us things about ourselves and each other. In ways we could never have imagined, those lessons have brought perspective and connection along the way. We came to the ranch to serve, and in doing so have found a community that has become deeply meaningful to us.” - Shannon

Look Who’s Back! 🌟

Our sweet Angel finally got to join us again today, and group just hasn’t been the same without her bright energy.

They say angels are messengers of joy, comfort, and unconditional love… and that’s exactly who she is to all of us. Her name isn’t a coincidence, it’s a perfect description of all that she brings.

Welcome back, Angel! You are our sunshine, and we are so grateful to be recipients of your light ☀️💓

And a special thanks to the whole group for decorating these beautiful journal covers so that we can give them to other groups that come out.

Today is an extra special day at Acres of Hope because we are celebrating a DOUBLE birthday for two people who mean the absolute world to this ranch and our community! We had a blast celebrating with some of our favorites 🎉🎂

First, a massive Happy Birthday to Marissa! As a dedicated board member, event coordinator, and group volunteer, she pours so much organization and love into making our programs so special and people feel so welcome. We are so very grateful for her heart and everything she gives to this mission! Thank you, Marissa!!

And to my husband, the Founder and literal bedrock of Acres of Hope - Tony... happy birthday!!

It is easy for people to see the magic of the ranch, but most don't see the true weight of what it takes to keep these gates open. For 11 years, Tony has poured literally everything he has into this dream and for caring for people at a level most don’t comprehend.

He gives with a heart that is humble and grateful to serve, but the sacrifice is one most people never see.

As his wife, my specific prayer for Tony this year is that some of that heavy burden will finally be lifted. My prayer is that he will be deeply poured back into, refreshed, and able to receive the exact same unconditional love and care that he has humbly poured into thousands of others for over a decade.

Tony and Mariss - we honor you, we love you, and we bless you today!!

Honoring the life of a true legend…

Monty Roberts didn’t just change how the world trains horses, he taught us how to listen.

While traditional methods relied on dominance and breaking a horse’s spirit, Monty chose empathy. By decoding Equus… their silent language of posture, movement, and breath, he proved that real leadership isn’t about control- it is about offering safety and inviting partnership through “joining up”

For anyone who works with frightened, guarded, or wounded animals (and the people who carry those same wounds) his life’s work is a daily guide. He proved that gentleness is never weakness, and that patience heals what force only breaks.

At AOH, that is the ground we stand on.

Thank you, Monty, for giving horses a voice, for having the courage to go ‘against the grain’ and for modeling to the rest of us that true meaning and connection isn’t in control/ fear but built on trust… 🐴🤍
