Yesterday was one of those days that reminds us just how important strong partnerships are.

It was an honor to welcome our partners from Wells Fargo to Veterans Community Project of Longmont as they presented a $75,000 investment in support of our Money Management Pillar.

This partnership means so much because it goes far beyond a financial contribution. Wells Fargo believed in our vision before there was a Village to walk through. They stood alongside us as we worked to bring Veterans Community Project to its full vision in Colorado, and for the second year in a row, they're investing in money management programming that helps Veterans build financial confidence, strengthen long-term stability, and create brighter futures.

Today, our Village is fully operational, our residential program is at full capacity, and every day we see Veterans rebuilding their lives—not just by finding a safe place to call home, but by gaining the skills, support, and community they need to thrive. Partnerships like this make that possible.

Thank you for your continued belief in our mission, for taking the time to visit with our team and residents, and for investing in the long-term success of the Veterans we have the privilege to serve. I truly value this partnership and all we're accomplishing together.

Here's to continuing to build something meaningful—for our Veterans and for the communities they call home.

VCP Longmont Featured on 9NEWS (KUSA)!

The completion of the VCP Longmont Village and our shift into being fully operational earlier this year is an achievement that belongs to our entire community. From donors and volunteers to corporate partners and advocates, your support is helping us fix Veteran homelessness in Colorado.

Thank you for helping us prove what's possible when a community comes together to provide dignity and care for Veterans in need. 💙

Longmont's Veterans Community Project, a nonprofit providing transitional housing for veterans, reaches full capacity after community efforts close a funding gap.

Seven years ago, U.S. Army Veteran Steve Linder pitched Veterans Community Project Co-Founder and fellow Army Vet Brandonn Mixon with an idea.

“I asked him, ‘Why don’t you guys do the automatic payment thing? That way, if I get distracted with life, the money still comes—and you can keep helping Veterans.’”

Two days later, Steve remembers smiling when he and fellow VCP supporters received an email from Brandonn announcing the launch of a new monthly giving community program called Honor Corps. He clicked through and became its first member with a $25 donation.

Since then, with 86 monthly gifts of his own and those from over 500 other supporters who have joined him, the Honor Corps community has now surpassed more than $1 million in collective support providing stable housing and wraparound services to Veterans.

For Steve, his involvement and that impact is an extension of the camaraderie he experienced during his 14 years in the Army Reserve, where he served in heavy equipment transportation and psychological operations roles, twice deploying on active-duty orders to Iraq.

It is also a way to give back to his Kansas City community, where he has grown into a leadership role with the iconic Boulevard Brewing Company. And, a chance for he and wife to teach their twin teenage boys that giving back is a part of life—as the cost of life goes up, he jokes with them that while Netflix may come to the chopping block, Honor Corps is not negotiable.

Steve says he is grateful for the hundreds of others who are also willing to make personal sacrifices to support a mission bigger than themselves. He hopes that sharing his story will inspire more to join him, as well as deliver a message to Veterans in crisis or facing homelessness.

“I am proud of the program, sure,” he says, “But more so what gives me pride is that there are Veterans out there willing to ask for help—and who, in VCP, have a place to do that.”

Thank you, United, for helping make our Village feel even more like home!

This month, United hosted our monthly Community Dinner, bringing Veterans, staff, and volunteers together over a shared meal and meaningful conversation. These evenings are about so much more than food—they're about building relationships, creating community, and reminding our Veterans that they are surrounded by people who care.

United truly proves every day that Good Leads The Way, and we are so grateful for their partnership and commitment to those who have served.

Thank you for investing your time and generosity in our mission to fix Veteran homelessness.

⛳ A day on the course. A reminder of what's possible.

One of the things we love most about our partnership with Blue Federal Credit Union is that it goes far beyond sponsorships. Together, we're creating opportunities for Veterans to reconnect with their community, build new experiences, and dream about what's next.

Thanks to Blue, several Veterans from Veterans Community Project of Longmont spent the day at The Blue Championship at TPC Colorado. They watched incredible golf, enjoyed a beautiful Colorado day, and Jake and Roy even had the chance to chat with one of the tournament's professional golfers!

Experiences like these are an important part of our pillar programming. While housing creates stability, moments like this remind Veterans that life is about more than overcoming challenges—it's about discovering new possibilities, building confidence, and creating memories along the way.

Thank you, Blue Federal Credit Union, for being a partner that invests not only in our mission, but in the lives of the Veterans we serve. We're grateful to have you alongside us.

Remember Suzanne?

Just a few months ago, we shared the story of an Air Force Veteran who never had to spend a single night outside because of your support.

Today, we're so excited to share the next chapter.

Last Friday, Suzanne became the 10th Veteran to move from Veterans Community Project of Longmont into permanent housing. Today, she's enjoying the view from the porch of her very own home, surrounded by flowers, peace, and the promise of a new beginning.

When Suzanne arrived at VCP, she already had a permanent housing opportunity lined up through another Veteran housing program, but she needed a safe place to stay while she searched for the right home through that program. Our bridge housing program provided exactly that—a temporary home where she and her two dogs could remain safe, supported, and surrounded by a community that believed in her.

Now, she's home.

As Suzanne prepared to leave the Village, she shared a few tears with our team and said:

"I was in a spot I never thought I'd find myself at 66, and I just couldn't believe that I got this opportunity. I am so grateful."

Those moments never get old.

Bridge housing isn't just about providing a place to stay. It's about making sure a temporary setback doesn't become homelessness. It's about preserving hope while Veterans take the final steps toward a permanent home.

Because of your support, Suzanne never had to experience homelessness. Instead, she was able to move from uncertainty to stability—and now she's spending her days on her own front porch, planting flowers and making a house feel like home.

Thank you for making stories like Suzanne's possible. Every Veteran deserves the opportunity to move forward with dignity, stability, and hope.

Congratulations, Suzanne. We are so proud of you, and we can't wait to see all the memories you'll make in your new home. ❤️🏡🌸🇺🇸
