Hello Troop 90!
We are running a Yankee Candle Fundraiser just in time for the holidays. The profits - 40% of all sales -will help to fund activities on the European Odyssey Trip to England and France next summer. We are in a bit of a time crunch in that physical (catalog) orders must be received by Yankee Candle Nov 17th, but I am optimistic that we can at least get enough orders to make some profit. I have the catalogs at my house if anyone would like to start physical sales this weekend; if not, I will have them available at the Nov 7th meeting, however that only gives you a week to sell locally.
The good news is that online orders can start immediately. The attached documents further explain the process of sharing the information online and via the app. Online orders are delivered directly to the buyer and are available until Jan 11th.
This is the link to start selling online https://www.yankeecandlefundraising.com/. Click on the button at the top that says Seller Login then on the right hand side, Sign up to be a Seller- add the group number 999977217 and your age (younger scouts will have to have a parent do this). Click Submit- this will take you to a new page where you enter your scout's name and email (or parent email) and submit. You will receive an email with instructions on how to complete the process. From that page, you can enter names and email addresses of your friends and family, or post to Facebook to gather sales. Online shopping is the easiest way to make a profit because you don't collect the orders or money, and the products are delivered right the the buyer.
I realize that this coincides with the Williams magazine/cookie dough fundraiser as well but as they are different products, I think we can manage. Not only does our catalog include candles, it also has some home decor and gift wrap. If you click on "Start Shopping" from your seller page, you can see the items that are available for our sale and preview what the site looks like to customers.
Catalog orders must be turned in at the November 14th meeting (no late orders accepted). There are more details in the sellers' packet that you will receive Nov 7th.
