LVCAP Welcome to LVCAP - the Long Valley Community Assistance Program and Food Pantry We are both a food pantry and emergency fund.

The Long Valley Community Assistance Program (LVCAP) is a 501(c)(3) organization led by a group of volunteers. Our board of trustees is comprised of representatives from local area churches and our community members. Many are surprised to learn there is a need for food assistance in our area, however, we are now serving over 70 families. We rely heavily on food and monetary donations from our comm

unity and local businesses. Without their help we would be unable to serve those in need. The food pantry is housed in the Long Valley Presbyterian Church at 39 Bartley Road in Long Valley, NJ, This service is provided free of charge to all Long Valley residents and attendees of the participating churches. Our emergency fund exists to help our members with a critical financial need on a one time basis. To be eligible clients must be a resident of Long Valley or a member of our participating churches. You can click here for the list of churches. Our Food Panty is open on Mondays from 10am-12pm and first an third Monday 6pm-7:30pm

We also accept Donations on Thursdays from 9am-11am.

A BIG thanks for ALL the donations we receive at the Food Pantry! We have been receiving a lot of expired items. A BIG request: Please check the items that you donate to ensure that they are current or in the future. This saves us a lot of time. We do look through each item donated, but then we have to dispose of the expired donations. We do not accept opened or used products. Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter.

As we approach school openings, the Pantry would like to gift our client children with gift cards to Target and WalMart so they can purchase supplies. If our FB family would like to contribute, your donation would be appreciated! Any card between $5 and $25 would be appreciated. It can be dropped off at the bin at Hoffman’s Supply or to the Pantry on Thursdays from 9-11am. Our ending date is August 15th. Thank you in advance!

Whoo Hoo! A BIG shout out to LV Boy Scouts for over 50 “Summer Fun Bags” they assembled and were delivered to the Food Pantry! Filled with treats and fun activities, these bags will be a big hit with the children! Thank you Scouts!

LVCAP is in the process of assisting our client family children with help to purchase school supplies! YOU can help by donating WalMart or Target Gift Cards in denominations of $5-$25 per card!
Donations can be dropped off to the bin at Hoffman’s Supply by mid August. We appreciate your help in this endeavor! THANK YOU!

The Pantry is so appreciative for the donations we receive but just a few reminders…Please NO expired food. Please do not leave food outside the pantry door when we are closed especially in this heat! At this time we do not need boxed macaroni & cheese, Cheerios, ketchup. We can use canned fruit, individual snack food (chips etc.), old fashioned oats, canned coffee. Thank you!

LVCAP is very grateful for all the donations we received today! Our “summer treats” are being donated and truly appreciated. Thank you Community. A big shout out to Chester and Long Valley Knights of Columbus and LV Democrats for their generous monetary donations!

A shout out to the Community and local Churches who donated food at the drop off bins at Hoffman’s Supply. We have been blessed by the outpouring of donations!
Please continue to remember the Pantry over the summer! Bottled Juice, Juice boxes, individual bagged snacks (chips, fruit, pretzels, gold fish), cookies, crackers are a welcome summer treat.
We are grateful and cannot serve our neighbors without your support. Thanks in advance!
