Scott Lamers needs volunteers for the Popple River Centennial! We are greatly appreciative that Popple River wants to help support the Lake Association! Let’s show our thanks by volunteering. Contact Scott at 920-419-7713 to let him know you can help. Let’s be loud and proud!

POPPLE RIVER CENTENNIAL INFO:
Did you know our Centennial is also a Fundraiser? Our committee asked for help from Newald Fire Department, BIG 4 Sportsmans Club, Long Lake Volunteer Fire Department, and Lake Association of Long Lake and they said YES!
The 4 organizations will be serving up and selling food that day, all sales proceeds will be split between them. We will also have a few 50/50 raffles for them as well. Please join us on June 27th 2026 noon to 6pm and help us raise for money for these hardworking local organizations!

Today is more than just a long weekend.

It’s a day to pause… to remember… and to honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom.

Behind every flag, every moment of silence, and every gathering today… there are stories. Stories of courage. Stories of sacrifice. Stories of families who carry both pride and heartbreak in their hearts.

While many of us spend today with loved ones, enjoying the sunshine and making memories, we also remember those who never got to come home. The ones who gave their lives so we could live ours freely.

Freedom isn’t free… and today is a reminder of the cost it has carried.

So today, we remember.
We honor.
We reflect.

We say thank you to the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice… and we hold space in our hearts for the families who continue to feel that loss every single day.
