Today, on International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, the UNFCU Foundation reaffirms our commitment to sustaining the path out of poverty for women and youth. When women and youth have the tools and opportunities to thrive, they do not travel the path to prosperity alone. Rising together, they bring their families and communities along with them.

Every girl deserves the freedom to learn, to grow, to make her choices and to define her own future. When girls are safe, educated and empowered, they strengthen their families, communities, and societies.

This , we celebrate our partners working every day to help girls stay in school, access essential healthcare, develop their leadership, and pursue pathways to greater economic opportunity and independence.

Thank you to our incredible grant partner Hot Bread Kitchen for welcoming United Nations Federal Credit Union (UNFCU) volunteers earlier this month! Through mock interviews, our colleagues supported participants in strengthening their confidence and preparing for the next step in their culinary careers.

We are proud to partner with Hot Bread Kitchen in empowering women across New York City to realize their potential, pursue meaningful employment in the food industry, and take the next step toward lasting economic independence.
