What an unforgettable evening at the Big Give with ✨

Last night, ACI was honored to stand alongside other inspiring organizations as a finalist for the Impact100 NYC Grant. While we didn’t take home the top award, we did receive a $15,000 grant to advance our mission — and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Being in a room full of empowering women leaders committed to collective giving and community transformation was truly energizing. We’re proud to be part of a network that believes in equity, opportunity, and second chances for New Yorkers facing barriers to employment.

💙 Thank you, Impact100 NYC, for believing in our work.
💙 Congratulations to all the finalists and winners -- together, we’re building a stronger, more innovative future for NYC!

Congratulations to our newest Green Construction & Energy Efficiency graduates!

This past Friday, we celebrated another incredible cohort completing ACI’s clean construction training -- a major step toward building sustainable careers and a greener New York City. 🌱⚡️

A huge thank you to for sponsoring this celebration and for continuing to invest in the future of our communities. Your support ensures our students not only gain industry-recognized skills, but also receive crucial resources on how to build meaningful careers right here in their own neighborhoods.

We’re so proud of our graduates — and excited to watch them help power the city’s clean-energy future.

Real safety starts long before anyone steps onto a jobsite -- it begins in the classroom, in hands-on workshops, and in every training session where students learn to recognize hazards, respond with the right skills, and respect the power of safe practices.

At ACI, we’re proud to equip New Yorkers with the certifications, technical skills, and real-world safety knowledge that protect lives and build careers. Because when workers are trained, supported, and confident, the entire industry becomes safer.

Safety Week may be ending, but our commitment to safety training continues every day.

Building Skills. Building Futures.

At ACI, learning isn’t confined to a classroom -- our participants also gain real, hands-on experience in the field. From bricklaying and masonry restoration skills to electrical and energy efficiency work, every training session prepares New Yorkers for jobs that offer stability, growth, and a path forward.

Our construction training programs give people facing barriers the chance to build confidence, master in-demand skills, and step into lifelong careers.

This is what opportunity looks like!

We were proud to join community leaders, policymakers, and changemakers at the “Ideas for a Stronger and More Equitable Queens” forum hosted by for an Urban Future.

Thank you to CUF for convening such an inspiring discussion, and to the The Thomas & Jeanne Elmezzi Foundation and Verizon for supporting this important gathering focused on the future of Queens.

The room was filled with energy as leaders shared bold ideas to strengthen the borough, addressing key issues like economic opportunity, transit, and post-pandemic recovery while celebrating what makes Queens extraordinary: its diversity and resilience!

We were honored to hear insights from leaders including Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, Councilmember Nantasha Williams and various councilmembers, Bishop Taylor from Urban Upbound, and many others committed to shaping the borough’s future.

Together, we can ensure Queens continues to grow stronger, more equitable, and full of opportunity for all.
