The kind of news that breaks hearts.

Please let’s help each other out.
We can guide people we see in the cold, to the city warming centers. Not everyone knows about these places. No one should sleep out in this freezing cold.

It is freezing these days in New York!
An extra coat in your closet could help someone stay warm.

Our founder, on her way to a training one day, saw a young man poorly dressed for the weather. She stopped, talked with him, went back to her home to grab some of her son’s clothes, and gave them to the young man before heading to her meeting.

Please, let us look after each other. 🙏

Happy New Year 2026 🎊

Happy Martin Luther King Jr Day 🎉

Matthew 25:34-40:
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

When the HFDH team visits NYC schools, besides hearing about our work in Burkina Faso, students have the opportunity to listen to some African tales, told by Barkissa, our founder. ❤️

Hope For Desperate Hearts celebrated Valentine’s Day today.

Thank you everyone for your love for the underprivileged we serve in Burkina Faso.

Love inspires acts of kindness and generosity.

We proudly wore the sample fabric made by the women we train in Burkina Faso, thanks to your generosity.

Happy early Valentine’s Day to you. 💘
