Sharing this beautiful poem written by one of our treasured Twelve Baskets Food Pantry volunteers following last night’s open pantry. ❤️

A Community Grows

The people come
Many ages and kind,
Families do work
Still financial bind.

The little ones smile
The adults do chat,
People to people
Not just a stat.

As helpers we try
To serve with a smile,
Respect for friends
All the while.

Relationships grow
Friendship abound,
Help provided
Results profound.

Warmth evolves
Benefits to all,
Twelve Baskets Pantry
All stand tall.

~ by Tom P. (October 16, 2026)

As the number of families and individuals in our community needing supplemental food continues to grow, so does the need for something equally important: Hope. Kindness. Dignity. Smiles.

Our volunteers rise to meet these growing needs with open hearts and helping hands, “serving” so much more than food. They feed both hearts and hunger.

I’m so pea-poppin’ proud to be among these selfless, hardworking humans who give so generously of themselves to others! ❤️🥕🫛

On Wednesday, Twelve Baskets’ Pantry members gathered to honor Timmy Robertson who chose our Pantry for his Eagle Scout project. Timmy’s project included creating a new pantry drop-off closet with easy access in the parking lot at First Presbyterian Church, Stirling. Timmy also used his resources to provide us with a very generous food donation that helped stock our pantry shelves.

On behalf of Twelve Basket Food Pantry, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to Timmy Robertson, a remarkable young man of our community for choosing to partner with the pantry.

The closet Timmy built is much more than a structure. It is a symbol of kindness, generosity, and service. Because of Timmy’s vision, dedication, and hard work, our neighbors now have an easy and welcoming way to share food with families in need.

You have shown that one person can make a lasting difference in a community. Your leadership, compassion, and commitment to helping others embody the very best of the Boy Scout Oath.

Thank you for leaving a legacy that will continue to feed families and inspire acts of kindness for years to come. We are honored to dedicate this pantry collection closet in recognition of your service and grateful heart. We are pea poppin’ proud (the highest pride there is) of your dedication to others.

Thank you and congratulations on becoming an Eagle Scout. We can’t wait to see what you do next. Rest-assured that we will be cheering you on along the way! 💙 ~ Kristen Oleske of Twelve Baskets Food Pantry
