☀️ A great morning at the Buffalo Grove Farmers Market!

Troop 79 had a great time meeting families and neighbors today. Our Scouts kept the younger kids busy spinning the prize wheel for stickers, flashlights, compasses, water bottles and more. 🧭🔦

It was also especially nice to reconnect with some Troop 79 alumni Scouts and leaders who stopped by to say hello!

A big thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets, made a donation, or simply stopped by our booth to learn more about Scouting. And a special thank you to Spears for generously donating to our raffle — we really appreciate the support!

As our three Troop 79 Scouts begin their National Jamboree adventure, we wish them an unforgettable week of learning, leadership, service, and fun.

May they make new friends from across the country, challenge themselves with new experiences, and return home with great memories and stories to share.

Have an amazing time, Scouts! We're proud to have you representing Troop 79. Safe travels, have fun, and enjoy every moment! ⚜️🇺🇸

This weekend our Scouts camped, kayaked, hiked, and learned about native and medicinal plants while exploring the outdoors together. One Scout said it best: “This was a really organized and efficient campout.”

Troop 79 is more than camping. Scouts build confidence, leadership, independence, and lifelong friendships while trying new things and having fun.

If you know a youth ages 11–17 (or in 5th grade) who likes adventure, wants to learn new skills, or is looking for a great group of friends, come check us out. New Scouts are always welcome!
