Adventures to Dreams is a child enrichment program designed to inspire and empower young minds ages 5 – 16 who live in and around 90813 and surrounding communities by exposing them to education, cultural activities, and mentorship. Our focus is on teaching Culinary/Cooking, Horticulture/Gardening, Health/Nutrition/Fitness, Information Technology, and Life Skills by using STEAM (Science, Technolog

y, Engineering, Art, and Math) as a vehicle. We integrate educational tools, hands-on learning, self–esteem activities, guest speakers, industry professionals, mentorship, and field trips to inspire and empower every child.

This project will expand the garden education element of our Summer Art and Science Camp.🎨🧪🔬

Youth ages 7-17 are welcome for free, to learn about gardening practices, plant biology and the nutritional value of fruits/veggies through hands-on activities. 🌻🪴🌷

Ages 16-24 can apply to become garden interns. (There are only 7 internship positions available!) 🌟This important role helps ensure the success of the camp. Interns will help the garden to facilitate activities and ensure that students are safe, learning, and having fun.🌱

I had the honor of joining Marla Diann on her Follow Your Joy podcast to share the heart and story behind Adventures to Dreams Enrichment—our youth garden and enrichment nonprofit in Long Beach. I am joined by Vivi Goh, my visionary support from the beginning.

From a single intuitive moment with a student who told me it was “too dangerous to go outside,” I knew I had to do something. That “something” became a garden of hope—where children create art, grow vegetables, learn about the Earth, and take home food for their families.

1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

At Adventures to Dreams Enrichment, we know awareness and community support can make all the difference. That’s why we’re proud to host our Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser on Saturday, October 4, 2025 in Long Beach.

Guests will enjoy an afternoon of jazz in the garden, hibachi-style cooking, delicious BBQ, jewelry making, planting activities, an exciting raffle giveaway, and a special guest appearance from Dr. Sarah Hassan from MemorialCare Oncology.

📍 903 De Forest Ave., Long Beach, CA

🎟️ Tickets are $78 per person with proceeds benefiting MemorialCare Cancer Institute at Orange Coast Medical Center.

This event is more than a fundraiser. It is a celebration of strength, survivorship, and the power of community.
