Fisher House Southern California's mission is:
To provide temporary lodging and support to military members, veterans, and their families, when receiving treatment through a Southern California Navy or VA Medical Facility. The Fisher House Southern California serves four Southern California houses -- at Long Beach VA, Camp Pendleton, and the San Diego Naval Hospital. While the VA and Navy staff m
aintain the houses, support is needed to make these Fisher Houses real homes for the hurting families who spend time there -- to provide "just like home" (and better) features such as computers, DirectTV, quality toiletries, linen service, golf carts for transportation, and more. If a family is at a Fisher House, they have enough on their mind. So every little amenity we can offer goes a long way toward making their stay less stressful --and lets them focus on their loved one. Incorporated in 2013, Fisher House Southern California is made possible by a collaborative effort of the Long Beach Rotary, American Gold Star Mothers, American Legion and other groups, organizations and individuals anxious to support our Nation’s promise and obligation to support those who have sacrificed for our Country’s freedom and security.
