Companies like Whole Foods, Costco, Trader Joe's, Ben & Jerry's and QuickTrip have decided to pay considerably more than the minimum wage. These companies start employees with entry-level wages of at least $11 per hour. QuickTrip pays a whopping starting wage of $40,000 annually to it's entry-level employees! Most minimum wage employees are not kids in high school as some would have you believe. Minimum wage employees often include adults, families and single parents. $7.25 per hour places these families into government assistance forcing the rest of us to make-up the difference even if do not wish to patron these businesses. Let's work together to raise the minimum wage to a living wage!
