In collaboration with the City of Long Beach, the Art League offered Open Art Studio to the eager and talented artists at the Magnolia Senior Center located at 650 Magnolia Blvd. This October fine art program, which was designed to motivate, guide and inspire artists of all levels, featured LBAL member and certified instructor Kathleen Regan.
Participants worked independently and experimented with their choice of medium such as watercolor, acrylic, pen & ink, Zentangle, etc. Kathleen, who is well-known as an extremely skilled and versatile teacher, was able to give excellent and individualized advice during the four sessions. Concepts, such as composition, color mixing, drawing and Zentangle patterns, were discussed.
Long Beach seniors, who were registered participants of the Senior Center, were eligible to attend this open studio program. For registration information on other art programs, call 516-431-3510.
