🚀 Transformational Tuesday: From Struggle To Stability

In March 2024, when Board Chair Sheena Curry took the helm, the Long Beach MLK Center Inc. faced a daunting reality: under $1,000 in the bank and over $40,000 in debt, which included $20,092.67 overdue taxes from 2019.

Today, we are proud to announce a new beginning.

Thanks to tireless leadership and community support, the center is officially out of debt, staff salaries are current, and we are on the rise! 📈

We owe a special debt of gratitude to Harvey Weisenberg, Cliff Skudin and Tommy Canner for their dedicated support in 2024.

We are committed to transparency and will continue to share updates on our progress, programs, and future planning.
