PINK PATCH PROJECT

On June 18, 2007, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. At the time, there was no support group for law enforcement professionals who were going through a cancer journey.

The following year, we created the National Law Enforcement Cancer Support Foundation. The foundation provides free emotional support, guidance and resources to anyone in law enforcement who is going through a cancer journey. The foundation is operated by cancer survivors Commander Steve Bowles, Seal Beach PD (Ret), Reserve Officer Robert Griffith, La Palma PD, myself, Commander Josef Levy, Long Beach Police Department (Ret), and Wellness Coordinator Heather Williams PsyD.

In October of 2013, the Pink Patch Project was created by the Seal Beach, CA Police Department after imagined by Steve Bowles. This October, law enforcement agencies throughout the world will be selling pink patches and raising monies.

The National Law Enforcement Cancer Support Foundation would be honored to partner with any agencies participating in the project. All monies go directly into the hands of our brave men and women battling cancer. and ask that you keep this in mind as you decide who to donate your funds to. PINK PATCH PROJECT-WHO IS YOUR DESIGNATED CHARITY?

This October, many law enforcement agencies will be participating in the Pink Patch Project and will donate the proceeds to a designated charity.

The National Law Enforcement Cancer Support Foundation is volunteer driven and operated by LEO’s who are CANCER SURVIVORS. We provide free emotional support, guidance and resources to anyone in law enforcement who is going through a cancer journey. We operate at the grass roots level, hand delivering checks to those LEO’s in need.

We would be honored to partner with any agencies participating in the project and are one of the only organizations that can say that 100% of the PPP monies donated to our foundation go directly into the hands of our brave men and women who are battling cancer.

Please keep this in mind as you decide who to donate your funds to. To learn more about the valuable work we are doing, visit our website at www.lecsf.net
