Rockin4Rescue ROCKIN4RESCUE was founded by Curt, Bobbie, & Lauren Arnel to raise money for Long Island, NY animal rescues. ADOPT, DON’T SHOP! Welcome to Rockin For Rescue.

We collect funds at live music events, and then donate 100% of the money raised to worthy local LI animal rescues. Curt & Bobbie Arnel founded this organization to create a bridge for the music community to assist in raising funds to donate to worthy animal rescue groups on Long Island, NY. We have adopted two dogs, Oscar and now Shane, who were rescued from bad situations. Our experience has made

us aware of the plight of these loving, helpless pets who are too often abused and/or abandoned. We have come to appreciate the selfless and thankless work of the wonderful people who actively rescue, foster & facilitate the adoption of these pets into wonderful homes. All of that requires funds for food, veterinarian bills, wee wee pads, treats, transportation and other costs, which frequently are paid for by the people who are also donating their time to save these pets. We decided to form Rockin For Rescue to help raise funds, and awareness, primarily through our ties to the Long Island music community. We conduct fundraising activities at music venues and events, and donate the funds to assist the rescue organizations on Long Island. We appreciate the generosity and support of the amazing Long Island music community, which is full of talented and good hearted people, many of whom are pet owners and care about animals in need of rescue. I'm sad to inform you that the Freeport location of Bobbi and the Strays will be closing. I will be turning it over to Pets 4 Luv. The official date is unknown at this time but is expected to be soon.

The cats will become part of Pets 4 Luv while the current dogs will remain as Bobbi and the Strays dogs but their day to day care will be handled by the new rescue. My Atlas location in Glendale will continue to operate as it always has and everyone is welcome to volunteer there.

Over the past 15 years in Freeport, I have seen selfless dedication by staff, volunteers and all of my other supporters. I will still be holding fundraisers and adoption events, both on Long Island and in Queens, and would be most grateful for your continued support.

Bobbi and the Strays Freeport location has rescued and adopted out well over 2000 dogs and cats. None of that would have been possible without all of you. If you have any questions, as always, please feel free to call me at 917-213-9840.

Today we gave a check for $400 as a DONATION to PAWS OF WAR. Paws of War is an amazing dog/cat rescue and training organization in Nesconset, Long Island, NY. Their key programs and services are:

War Torn Pets: reuniting deployed US troops with stray dogs or cats they bonded with overseas

Service Dog Training: rescuing and training shelter dogs to serve veterans dealing with PTSD and other traumas

Mobile Vet Clinic: free veterinary clinic to ensure struggling veterans don’t have to choose between their own care and their pet’s health.

For those of you that have been following the Ridglan Farms Beagle rescue story (2000 beagles were being bred for lab testing in Wisconsin)….. 1500 beagles have been rescued by various animal rescues across the country. Paws of War took in 10 of those beagles. Eight were already adopted, and 2 are going home tomorrow (can see one in the last pic here).

We applaud Paws of War for the great work they do to support our vets and first responders. 👏🐶
