Since it’s inception in 1991, the Foundation has donated over $2.5 million to Long Beach charities and scholarships for our local high school students. Last year, in the midst of the economic environment, we contributed more than $85,000 to benefit in part: Memorial Miller Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital Orange County, Long Beach Special Olympics, Long Beach Women’s Shelter, Operation Jum
p Start, Interval House, local mentoring programs and more than $10,000 for our scholarship fund. These organizations provide services that are vital to our community. From the sick child who benefits from special therapy, the special needs child who crosses the finish line, to the high school student who gets to go to college, the Grand Prix Foundation makes the difference. The Foundation is comprised of volunteers who love the community and work tirelessly to ensure the neediest children and families in our community have the resources they need to be successful. These volunteers are key business and civic leaders in our community. Last year, 100% of the funds raised where distributed to local organizations.
