Our monthly cleanup is this Saturday, June 13th from 8am-10:30 in front of Hamilton Middle School -1060 E 70th St.
Please come out and volunteer in keeping our neighborhood clean. We pick up trash from the streets around the Hamilton Middle School and the 91 freeway areas. Trash pickers, gloves and bags are provided.
It's best to use the dumpster by 9:30 as it sometimes fills up by 10am.
This is a great way to dispose of items that will not fit in your home trash bin.
The following is a list of things that CANNOT be dumped inside the dumpster:
No E-waste
No Paint or Liquids of any kind
No Tires
No Appliances or Water Heaters
No Construction Waste
No Dirt or Concrete
The HNA has sponsored this dumpster through the City of Long Beach Neighborhood Services for the past 10+ years to help keep our alleys and streets clean.
The second Saturday of every month we have been out there because we know what a positive difference this dumpster has made in the living conditions of our neighborhood.
Most months we are now assisted by the Long Beach Clean Team! They drive around our streets with a garbage truck and flatbed, picking up trash in streets and alleys.
If you see something lying around your alley/streets, and you're able, please bring it to the dumpster.
You can also report illegally dumped items and many other neighborhood issues to the GoLB app from your phone.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will NOT have our dumpster this Saturday. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

The HNA will still be stationed in front of the Hamilton Middle School - 1060 E 70th St at 8AM with pickers/trash bags and the LB Clean Team will be driving around the neighborhood picking up large items/appliances on public property, but there will be NO DUMPSTER, so PLEASE DON'T BRING YOUR ITEMS TO THE SCHOOL.

Volunteers will be out there walking the neighborhood around the school picking up trash down Myrtle and Orange Aves. Please come out for a walk and help us clean up the area!

To those who aren't aware, the city of LB allows for up to 12 large item pickups each year. The phone # for refuse is 562-570-2876 or you can contact them for pickups online at: longbeach.gov/lbrecycles/special-collections/request-a-special-collection.

Thank you for your understanding and we should be back in full force next month.
