The Maria Javier Memorial Scholarship

The Maria Javier Memorial Scholarship The Maria Javier Memorial Scholarship was established in 2004 to support the musical education of students at Long Beach Poly High School.

This annual award honors the memory and legacy of Maria Javier, a dedicated educator in LBUSD, active supporter of Poly Jazz, and mother of 2002 graduate Robyn Javier. The scholarship was created by the Javier family after her death from cancer in 2004. Every year, one recipient is chosen based on an outstanding audition and demonstration of commitment to their art. All Poly students are eligible.
