4GIRLS Organization 4GIRLS empowers middle school girls in Long Beach and Orange County with a weekend program.

Our program has no fees for participants and costs are entirely underwritten by donors and volunteers. 4GIRLS is committed to developing and offering a workshop that guides girls to identify themselves as inherently powerful, valuable and beautiful. The 4GIRLS Workshop brings girls together from different backgrounds, cultures and economic status for a weekend of inspiration and gives them an opportunity to thrive. The annual workshop, offered at no cost to the girls, provides a safe place for them to accept and appreciate themselves for who they are and encourages them to discover their potential. In addition to the workshop, the program supports the girls throughout the year with empowering and inspiring quarterly activities.

Here are a few words from Lily 😇

“Hi there!! My name is Lily Brubaker and I have been involved with 4GIRLS ever since I was a young, curious, and, like all, slightly insecure sixth grade student undergoing one of the most massive changes in the midst of the 2020 pandemic. It is an absolute honor to say now that I am a freshmen in college that I have gotten to call 4GIRLS my family and my home. Being a participant in 4GIRLS taught me to be outgoing, confident, and a leader. In high school, being a Junior Mentor helped me grow aware of my love for teaching and guiding young generations to not only be proud of themselves, but in their educational journeys. 4GIRLS is why I am majoring in Liberal Studies under the Bailey College of Math and Science and pursuing my degree under the honors and scholars program at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to receive my BS. My future is teaching because my past was 4GIRLS, and for that I want to thank this organization and their team for everything!! You will all forever be inspirations to me. Thank you so, so much for this honor!“

“Hi! My name is Marissa Valenzuela, and I was a Junior Mentor with 4GIRLS for three years. During my time with 4GIRLS, I was given countless opportunities to grow as a leader, build confidence, and navigate the many transitions that come with growing up. This scholarship is an exciting step toward my next chapter, as I’ll be attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo this fall as a Graphic Communications major! I’m so grateful to 4GIRLS for three years of mentorship, growth, memories, and opportunities that have helped shape who I am today. I can’t wait to take everything I’ve learned with me into this next chapter and see where it takes me! 💗✨“

Congratulations to one of our 4GIRLS Graduating Senior Scholarship Awardee Olivia Zamora! 🎓🤍

Here are a few words from Olivia 😇

“I’ve been involved with 4GIRLS since my 8th grade year, starting as a nervous yet eager participant. I got so inspired by the junior mentors leading the event, that I decided to take a leap of confidence to step into the leadership role. I was a junior mentor for three years of highschool, doing a presentation every event to not only educate the participants, but to also improve on my own leadership and public speaking skills. I even participated in a T-workshop as a junior mentor, which was focused on helping elementary school girls transition into middle school. I plan to study Psychology with a Bachelors of Science through the POSSE Scholarship at Santa Clara University, and furthering my education to become a physician.”

Last month we had our annual GRWM for Middle School event for our incoming 6th graders! A Saturday filled with bonding, inquiry, and fun! 🎀✨

Our amazing Junior Mentors led a few different activities, empowered by an amazing team! 🫶 Activities like our newfound Mystery Compliments, Junior Mentor Presentations, and much more. They left feeling a little more prepared-and a lot more empowered-for this exciting new chapter. 📚🖇️

Get creative with 4GIRLS at an exclusive hands-on jewelry workshop at Craft and Light Studio!

In this fun and beginner-friendly session, girls will design and create their own resin jewelry pieces using real dried flowers, sparkles, charms, and colorful details. Whether your style is bold, beachy, minimal, trendy, or totally unique, you’ll leave with jewelry that feels personal and made by you.

This workshop is also a chance to connect with other girls before summer, build confidence through creativity, and try something new in a beautiful studio space right in Belmont Shore.
