When we talk about community, we aren’t talking about boring content for Instagram.

We are recognizing that proximity and place are vital to the neighborhood relationships we build and nurture. Our sweet differences are not shunned or merely tolerated, but expected, welcomed, and drawn close like prized, sparkling gems.

Community is neighborhood rebellion.

We invite you to join in, the city manager won’t like it. Hahahaha Free Block Parties for All. Freedom to gather with neighbors all of the time. Let the party begin on a street near you! ❤️

We love partnering with neighbors who value community over commodity because the strongest neighborhoods are built on connection, trust, generosity, and a deep sense of belonging, not transactions.

A glimpse into our 9th Annual Long Beach Homebrew Fest fundraiser.

Since 2008, we have helped build community in more than 80 Long Beach neighborhoods by coming alongside and celebrating neighbors who want to connect and cultivate communities of care, one block and one neighborhood at a time.

From the beginning, we have focused on being an organization who build a vibrant community not a hollow, inauthentic commodity.

We vow to keep inviting neighbors to connect and be curious from Long Beach and beyond through The Joy of Community Cheers to the fellow lovers! ♥️
