Today Boys & Girls Clubs of America pays tribute to our military members who have worn the uniform of the United States Armed Forces. We are also proud to recognize the partnership beginning in 1991 between Boys & Girls Clubs and the U.S. Military. Serving military youth both on U.S. Military bases as well as in civilian communities, the Boys & Girls Club Movement provides specialized training, resource support, and technical assistant to military families. Please shout out to your military members below!

Game 3 of the World Series, which was dedicated to youth from underserved communities, saw BGCA's National Youth of the Year Trei Dudley deliver the ball to the mound. Prior to the game, hundreds of local Detroit area Boys & Girls Club members took part in a special Wanna Play? event and skills clinic alongside MLB Hall-of-Famer Frank Robinson, former Detroit Tiger Sean Casey and FOX Analyst Craig Monroe.

And the winner of the Day For Kids photo contest is... Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast! In this picture, Penny, Club Director in Destin, plays a version of Candy Land than has kids name the first letter and sound of the color they land upon. She is engaging kids as parents and Club staff looks on. BGC Emerald Coast will receive a brand new Samsung Galaxy tablet! Congrats guys!!

Meet Andy, the tall one, in the back. He's the Director of Operations at Boys & Girls Club of the South Coast Area. Last year he was one of the recipients of University of Phoenix's BGCA scholarship. He's into his 4th class toward he BA in Business/Marketing. Pretty cool! Even better? This year University of Phoenix is offering _30_ more full-tuition scholarships to Boys & Girls Club staff, parents and alumni!
