Bixby Highland Clean Streets A local group dedicated to beautifying the Bixby Highland neighborhood. The rules are simple:

Bixby Highland Clean Streets is a group dedicated to improving and maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the Bixby Neighborhood. No "Gaslighting" (Denying something the other person knows is true, spreading rumors about them, and blaming the victim.) If you have a contrary opinion, state facts or take it offline.
3. No name calling.
4. Keep your comments and posts civil.
5. This is not a po

litical page, but it is understood that sometimes local issues are political. If you engage in a local political discussion, refer to reminders 2, 3, 4.

JOIN US to volunteer for community trash pickups. We have five area neighborhood associations that sponsor weekly, bi-weekly or monthly pick events. Here is a list of the active members and their schedules. Gear is provided, along with big smiles and gratitude!!

IT'S CLEAN STREETS SATURDAY YAY!!!
PLEASE JOIN US this Saturday, May 9, 2026, for our 2nd Saturday Clean Streets event from 8:30 - 9:30 am.

Meet up with friends and neighbors to help make our neighborhood a cleaner and safer place to live. In doing this important work, you are preventing trash from making its way into our storm drains and waterways, making you all members of the UPSTREAM DREAM TEAM!

We have two locations along this stretch of the Orange Avenue corridor from Del Amo to the north to Carson/ Bixby to the south. It's always in need of TLC and your help is needed.

It's only an hour of your time - you'll get some fresh air, some exercise, and the satisfaction of knowing you did good in the neighborhood!

All gear provided - donuts too!

THE TRASH HAGS MADE A DIFFERENCE YESTERDAY!

We cleaned Orange Avenue from Carson to Claiborne and around the four corners area at Carson and Orange yesterday. Came away with SIX BAGS of litter and debris. We rewarded ourselves by having donuts and drinks at Angelfoodatlongbeachblvd

The Bixby Highland Clean Streets contingent will set up in front of Catalano's Pizza at 1178 E. Carson Street. Our dear neighbors Ridgewood/Bixby Knolls Clean Streets will set up further north at San Antonio and Orange

CLEAN STREETS MADE A DIFFERENCE AGAIN!!

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came out to clean up the mess we know as the Orange Avenue corridor. We picked up trash from Del Amo to Bixby and places in between and came away with over 130 lbs of litter that won't make it into our storm drains and waterways. You're all UPSTREAMERS and we couldn't do it without you. Special thanks to Councilwoman Megan Kerr and Shannon and Hailey from the D5 office for lending a hand.

Like minded folks from BIXBY HIGHLAND CLEAN STREETS and Ridgewood/Bixby Knolls Clean Streets got together and did good in the neighborhood! This is what community looks like!!

Thank you to Catalano's Pizza for letting the Bixby Highland crew set up outside.
