Greenbelt Heights Building a better neighborhood focused on Beautification, Safety, and Fellowship Our borders are from Redondo / Bennett Ave / 7th Street / 10th Street.

Greenbelt Heights Neighborhood Association is building a better neighborhood focused on Beautification, Safety, and Fellowship. This stretch of land holds such a diverse, eccentric, and passionate group of residents who have become a little closer as a by-product of becoming more organized. The few landmarks we have are sacred grounds to the residents. These landmarks include Jefferson Middle School and the Greenbelt Parks from 7th all the way to 10th. In the coming years the Association and residents are poised to put Greenbelt Heights on the map by meeting our objectives and building a stronger network between one another. We intend to have a series of public events, community meetings, holiday gatherings, and volunteering efforts to strengthen the foundation within these "borders". Our efforts will enhance the development of the Greenbelt Project, open communication with Jefferson Middle School, and collectively collaborate about the unification GHNA residents.

Ever wondered who’s behind the Greenbelt Heights Neighborhood Association, or how you could get involved? Come find out!

Join us for a casual morning in the Greenbelt to meet your neighbors and learn how you can take part, Saturday, October 17th from 10–11am at The Greenbelt · 8th & Termino. 

We’ll spend the first half hour on who’s who and what we do, then mingle. Coffee and donuts are on us! All curious neighbors welcome.

Our greenbelts could use a little TLC — and we’re pulling neighbors together to give them some love.

Saturday, August 22nd

8th & Termino - look for the Greenbelt Heights popup!

We’ve got you covered: trash bags, gloves, coffee & donuts for all volunteers. Just bring yourself (and maybe a neighbor)!

Come as you are, bring a neighbor along — we’ll handle the rest. Stay 20 minutes or the whole morning, every bit helps. Plus, it’s a great chance to meet the neighbors you’ve only ever waved to from across the street.

Your neighborhood greenbelt is getting a major makeover — and you’re invited to see exactly what’s coming.
Join us Thursday, May 28 from 6:30–8 p.m. at Recreation Park Community Center (4900 E. 7th St.) to see the final design for the 10th Street Greenbelt renovation. Public works will walk through the plans and answer your questions.
New trees, lighting, walking trails, seating areas, and more are on the way. Come see it for yourself.

Our 4th Annual Chili Cook-Off + Earth Day Celebration was a huge success, and we’re so grateful to everyone who came out to make it such a special day.

Our neighbor Rebecca Lynn for taking us to Earth School, Photographers Megan Lloyd and Chris San Nicolas, La Parolaccia, Long Beach B**r Lab, and all of our incredible volunteers.

And of course, thank you to all of our neighbors who brought dishes to share, voted in the competition, and spent the afternoon celebrating community and Earth Day with us. Events like this are only possible because of the enthusiasm and support of this neighborhood. 💚
