15th Annual Back-to-School Beauty Day, organized by the Haven of Hope Foundation, Master Barbering Academy, and Afros of Hollywood.

The event will take place on Sunday, August 30, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. and will provide free haircuts, braids, twists, and styling services for school-aged children and teens. Organizers will also distribute stuffed backpacks, hygiene products, clothing, and shoes to help local students begin the school year with confidence.

Neighborhood associations and community members can support the program by sharing the attached flyers, donating new or gently used clothing and shoes or gift cards for teens, and volunteering as barbers, braiders, stylists, vendors, or general event volunteers.

The Long Beach event location is Afros of Hollywood, 406 E. 3rd Street in the East Village. Donations may also be dropped off there, or pickup can be arranged by calling or texting 562-326-6308.

Started the morning giving back
for this community Earth Day clean-up. My work was proud to help be one of the sponsors along with my neighborhood Association (PARA). Thank You Covenant Presbyterian Church and Historic St. Anthony N.A. - (SANA-DTLB) for coordinating this amazing cleanup.
�There’s nothing better than working side by side to take care of the place we call home. Real change happens when we show up and take action together.
