We are also extremely grateful to our faculty partners at CSULB, CSUDH, and LBCC who graciously and enthusiastically incorporate BLAST into their classes and encourage their students to volunteer. Starting the school year strong! 💙📚

The BLAST Team spent time learning, connecting, and preparing to support our students and school communities in the year ahead.

Our team participated in workshops focused on BLAST’s Scope of Work, internal communication, and strengthening the way we work together. We were also grateful to welcome community partners, including the LBUSD Restorative Justice Team and who joined us to share resources, knowledge, and tools to better support the youth and families we serve. 🤝✨

And of course, we made time for some team bonding! 🐋🐬 The BLAST Team headed out for a whale and dolphin watching adventure, a great way to connect, recharge, and kick off another year together.

We’re ready for a new school year of mentoring, learning, partnership, and impact! 🎓💫

Summer memories we just had to share. ☀️💙
Our students specifically requested the first photo in the slide to make it to Instagram... so of course we had to say yes! 😄

Every quarter, we gather with fellow youth serving nonprofits across Long Beach to connect, collaborate, and learn from one another.

These conversations help strengthen our collective impact and ensure we continue showing up for the young people and families we serve.

We are grateful to be part of a community that values partnership over competition and understands that together, we can do more.

Thank you to our fellow nonprofit partners for your commitment to Long Beach youth. ✨
