We want to recognize and thank an incredible leader as she transitions out of her role as Director of Programs 💙

During her time at BLAST, Angela has made a lasting impact on the youth and families we serve, our volunteers, team members, and the broader Long Beach community. Her leadership and vision helped strengthen and expand our programs, deepen school and community partnerships, and ensure that students were supported in meaningful, student centered ways.

Through her dedication, she helped guide our team through growth, innovation, and change. Always leading with care, intention, and a deep commitment to the community. Her contributions will continue to be felt across our organization.

As she enters a new chapter, we wish her nothing but continued success and fulfillment. We are grateful for her time, leadership, and impact at BLAST.

As the year comes to a close, we’re wishing our BLAST students, families, and community a safe and joyful holiday season. Thank you for making this year so meaningful. 💙

The BLAST office will be closed from December 22 through January 3, 2026. We’ll be back on January 5, refreshed and ready to kick off an exciting new year together. 🎉✨

Thank you Chief Wally Hebeish and his Team for spending time with our BLAST students. We are truly grateful for leaders who show up for our youth and pour into their futures.
 
Our students had the chance to learn about career paths in law enforcement that many have never even heard of. From community engagement to technology to specialized roles that support safety in our city, today’s visit opened their eyes to new possibilities and sparked curiosity about how they can get involved in their community.
 
Moments like these plant seeds 🌱 They inspire our Long Beach youth, build confidence, and remind them that they belong in every space where decisions are made.

Today we’re extra grateful for every person who helps us make an impact in Long Beach! Our amazing staff, dedicated Board, inspiring mentors, hardworking interns, generous donors, and our whole BLAST community. You’re the reason we get to show up for youth every day. 💛✨
