At Lighthouse Prison Ministry, we believe in meeting the spiritual and practical needs of those we serve, following the model Jesus gave us.

Part of that mission is helping connect people with resources and opportunities that can help them take steps toward a new beginning.

We’re sharing this upcoming Career Expo hosted by our new partners, the Nassau County Office of Minority Affairs, Workforce Unit, taking place at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Opportunities like these can be an important step toward employment, stability, and rebuilding a life after incarceration.

We’re committed to sharing resources, opening doors, and helping those we serve move forward with hope, purpose, and dignity.

Serving. Connecting.
Equipping. Restoring.
Because ministry is about caring for the whole person. 🙏❤️

A New “Yes” to God ❤️

Today, one of our newest volunteers stepped inside the prison for the very first time to serve with Lighthouse Prison Ministry.

Together they led our Life Skills & Life Empowerment class, sharing encouragement, wisdom, and practical tools—but most importantly, bringing the hope and love of Jesus.

We never know what God can do through one willing heart. One conversation. One lesson. One prayer. One person simply saying, “Yes, Lord, use me.”

We are so grateful for every volunteer who answers that call. God is raising up laborers to bring His light into places where hope can sometimes feel far away.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” — Matthew 9:37 🙏🏽❤️

The harvest is plentiful, and the Lord continues to call faithful laborers. ❤️

We are so thankful to welcome Lucy and Gustavo as they join the Lighthouse Prison Ministry family. Please pray that God will strengthen, equip, and use them to share the hope of Jesus Christ with those who need Him most.

It is a privilege to witness the Lord growing this ministry. With 27 volunteers now serving, we are reminded that this is His work, and we simply get to say “yes.”

Called "The Three Wise Women" by our participants, these amazing servants of God faithfully preach Jesus to those incarcerated or those coming home. No matter where God's people are, they will go. It is a privilege to serve alongside them. True Lights to this world.
