Surf For All is a charity based in Long Beach, NY, dedicated to assisting people in getting people into the ocean, on to surf boards to assist in maximizing their potential. We believe the ocean is a source of healing and spiritual strength that should be accessible to all. We are a volunteer driven organization with no paid employees. Surf For All’s roots go back to 2002 with the development of a

surf program for developmentally disabled teenagers. Over the years we expanded our outings to cover a broader spectrum of disabilities–from Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, as well as visual impairment and others. We work closely with the Long Beach School District and provide free weekly lessons for students with disabilities during the summer special education program. We have also expanded beyond teenagers and work closely with Wounded Warriors, providing lessons and support for our military heroes. Our work has been featured on network television, major newspapers, radio, social media and elsewhere. Our message is always the same: We get more enjoyment out of the program than the students. Some of our students cannot walk, cannot speak, cannot see but they demonstrate shared humanity because when they get in the water they show that they know how to smile.

Huge Thanks for Making Surf for All’s Endless Summer Beach Bash a Night to Remember!

What an incredible evening at the beautiful new restaurant, Hacienda Tulum, on the boardwalk. With awesome food and drinks in a stunning location, City of Long Beach, New York (OFFICIAL).

It was amazing to see everyone come together to celebrate community, accessibility, and inclusion. We believe that the joy and healing benefits of the ocean should be for everyone.

We honored Austin Gibbons on his birthday. He meant so much to all of us and truly loved Surf For All and the ocean. Celebrating his life and spirit together was a powerful moment.

Some days remind you what this is all about. 🇺🇸🌊

Today we welcomed the incredible Long Beach Waterfront Warriors from Walter Reed Medical Center for a day they won’t soon forget. From first waves to water slides, laughs, and unforgettable memories, it was an honor to watch these veterans experience the wave pool at Skudin Surf at American Dream / American Dream, with many standing on a surfboard for the very first time.

The day was just one stop on an amazing New York experience, with visits to FDNY Rescue 1 and the 9/11 Memorial & Museum still ahead.

A huge thank you to American Dream for making this possible and to Skudin Surf for helping 60 incredible guests get into the water. We’re grateful to play a small part in such an inspiring day.
