Hi everyone!

We’re collaborating with Visual Artist, Jamie Ross, on having a historical tour.

Jamie Ross is an artist, educator and q***r community historian working on their masters at UCLA. They’re researching the q***r community in Long Beach and the way they stood up to homophobic cops and media (the LA times even!) in 1914.

Jamie will be giving an in-person tour of the spots where these events occurred in Downtown Long Beach. We’ll be accompanying this tour together with Jamie.

The tour will be taking place, March 19th and 26th on Saturday from 2pm to 4pm.

If you’re interested in joining, please reach out to Joel Gemino at [email protected] to sign up.

Hi everyone!

This year, the center would like to continue the tradition of putting together a video that highlights our local Trans/Gender Expansive Community!
We’re looking for participants who would be willing to send in video of themselves answering questions related to what TDoV and Trans Joy means to them.

Here’s last year’s video to give y’all a better idea of what we’re planning to create!:

People of all ages are welcome to volunteer! Please contact Lev Luna at [email protected] if you’re interested! And feel free to share this info with others you know that may be interested as well!

We’re hoping to have the video done before March 31st, so please try to send in your footage as promptly as possible.
Can’t wait to see what y’all send in!

World AIDS day has been held on December 1st every year since its founding in 1988.

Today we show our support for those living with HIV; we mourn the people we’ve lost to AIDS related Illness, especially our LGBTQ communities of color ; we raise awareness of the continued need to provide effective treatment so that HIV positive folks can live a full, happy life. And we want to erase the stigma surrounding HIV diagnoses through education and representation.

You can show your support through donations, fundraising, educating your loved ones and providing support to those around you living with HIV.
