About this Event
The Arab American Association of Engineers and Architects California Chapter (AAAEA-CA) invites you to our virtual conversation with an Arab American leader, Dina El-Tawansy.
Armchair Conversation with Dina El-Tawansy, Caltrans District 4 Director
When: Thursday, April 29, 2021 - 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm
Where: Zoom (link will be provided directly to registrants before the event)
The AAAEA-CA Chapter is very proud to have the opportunity to recognize and celebrate an outstanding figure in our community, one of our own members and the first women chapter president in AAAEA’s history.
It gives us all pride to announce that Dina El-Tawansy was recently appointed as Caltrans District Director for District 4 (Bay Area). She is the first Arab American women to reach this level in Caltrans or any similar agencies.
Dina is a bright and accomplished engineer. She has over 23 years of experience with Caltrans spanning over many districts and various responsibilities. Most recently, she served as acting Director and Chief Deputy Director to Caltrans District 4 in California’s Bay Area. She also served as Deputy Director for Caltrans District 12 responsible for operation and maintenance. Her career was spent between the Bay Area and Southern California Area. She excelled in every responsibility and assignment. She exemplifies professionalism, commitment and hard work.
Dina was active in the formation of the AAAEA California Chapter and established a Northern California section. In addition, she played a major role in the formation of the national organization and served on a number of national committees.
Please join us in applauding and congratulating Dina on her success. She makes all of us honored and proud.
Registration: All proceeds will benefit AAAEA-CA scholarship fund. AAAEA-CA is a registered non-profit 501 (C) (3) organization. Sponsorship of the event is available. Please contact Dr. Ghina Yamout at [email protected].
