Polar bear swim 2022!

The City of Long Beach would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who participated in the Annual Long Beach Polar Bear's Splash for Make-A-Wish!
Special thanks to the Long Beach Lifeguard Patrol, Long Beach Police, Long Beach Police Auxiliary, Long Beach Fire Department, neighboring Fire Departments, Nassau County, and the US Coastguard for making sure everyone was safe. Thank you also to our Beach Maintenance and Recreation Departments for making sure the event went off without a hitch!
Another amazing event by the Long Beach Polar Bear organizers and the Make-a-Wish Metro NY staff - over $450,000 raised to bring joy and hope to children facing critical illness.

Just a reminder that there will not be a Polar Bear Splash next week on Super Bowl Sunday. We ask that you do not enter the water, as Lifeguards are not on duty!

It’s Veterans Day & Honoring all those who served. Thank you 🇺🇸 not sure what this “singles day” is all about, been getting emails from retailers offering sales today and they offensively do not mention Veterans Day! I’ve never heard of and I find it offensive that they are calling 11/11 “singles day” now!

Remembering sadly the anniversary of Hurricane Sandy 2012 and the destruction and suffering our community endured. We rebuilt! Long Beach strong! 💪🏻 🌊 The entire East Coast lost so much. 😢
