For nearly 100 years, the historic 1920s lampposts along Belmont Avenue have stood as a testament to neighbor-led pride. They were originally installed through the efforts of local residents, and past generations of neighbors have fought to restore and maintain them. Now, it’s our turn! 🏛️✨

Because of current regulatory costs, maintaining and painting these historic landmarks has become extraordinarily expensive. We are calling on the City to step up by either granting historic landmark status—allowing us to pursue historic preservation grants—or taking on the responsibility of painting and preserving them directly.

Here’s how you can help save a piece of our neighborhood’s heritage:

1️⃣ Sign the Petition: Help us show the City how much our community cares about preserving its history.
2️⃣ Support the Cause: Donate to our restoration fund so we can protect these lampposts no matter the outcome!
3️⃣ Join Us at the Block Party: Come out to our Lighting the Way Block Party on August 15th! We’ll have team tournaments, local gift cards, games, and community fun.
