Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences anyone can go through. When I lost my father this Mother's Day; May 14, 2023... I found myself struggling not only with the grief but also with the unexpected expenses that came with it. Any amount, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way in helping the family in this time of need. However, going through the process of organizing the fundraiser and witnessing the outpouring of support from my community, has inspired me to think about how I could possibly help others facing similar situations in the near future. If given the opportunity, I plan to channel my experience into a long-term goal of creating a non-profit organization to provide support and guidance to families experiencing loss. I hope to create a legacy for my loved one by helping others in need and making a positive impact in our community. The success of any fundraising event is largely dependent on community support.
