We are a non-profit multi-cultural arts; after school; at-risk youth program teaching drums, dance, and visual/media arts of Brazil. Samba Kids utilizes Brazilian performing arts as a tool for self-empowerment, cultivating critical consciousness, instilling confidence, skills, and alternatives to the violence and destructive behavior locally. Teaching the importance of community cohesion, while fo

stering a safe-environment after-school with movement, creative expression , and school-based performances. Samba Kids belief that every student should have access to a balanced, and comprehensive program of study in the arts. For students to experience the power, beauty , joy, creativity, and intellectual stimulation arts education provides.
